Printed Material

Audio/Video Packaging

TorahResource made the decision to discontinue the sale of hard copies of their audio and video products. However, many customers still preferred DVDs or CDs instead of digital direct downloads, so they are accommodating this request.

These full-bleed case covers were printed and trimmed in-house along with the disc labels. Over time, in an effort to save ink, the covers were reformatted with a no-bleed, low-ink design. When a book had an audio companion, the book design was expanded to the case cover. All of the covers and labels were laid out in Adobe Illustrator using Adobe Photoshop and stock photography. Below are some samples.

Postcard Design

Throughout the year, TorahResource sends letters, postcards, and other collateral to its donors as greetings, announcements, or to show their appreciation. Sometimes, postcards are used as informational fliers that are handed out at speaking events.

All of the postcards shown here were designed in Adobe Illustrator using Adobe Photoshop and stock photography. Below are some samples.

Quarterly Magazine

TorahResource Institute attempted to begin a quarterly magazine. The journal articles were to be written by students, alumni, and instructors. This venue would allow students the opportunity to publish a paper formally. The periodical was also a way to advertise the online school. This effort only lasted two quarters.

The cover spreads were created using Adobe Illustrator and printed on a matte cover stock at a local print shop. The interior pages were laid out in Adobe InDesign and printed in-house using stock photography.  The magazines were assembled and trimmed in-house.

Tri-Fold Brochures

The instructors of TorahResource Institute usually present papers at the annual meetings of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature. At these events, trifold brochures promoting the online school are handed out to prospective students.

The first round of printing was outsourced, which allowed a full-bleed print. Subsequent printing was done in-house as an effort to cut costs; the designs had to be modified for a no-bleed print. The brochures were created in Adobe Illustrator using stock photography. Below are some samples.

Various Documents

Event flyers, handouts, and a variety of instructional documents, including timelines, calendars, charts, and more, are created as needed. The most used of these items is a lectionary called the Weekly Torah Portion. This scheduled list of Scripture is updated and adjusted every year.
